ABA Therapy

ABA Therapy

Research shows that implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles helps build essential foundational skills for children. Learn more about ABA below:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help your child learn across a multitude of developmental domains. These comprehensive developmental domains can include but are not limited to the following: Pre-academic Skills, School Participation Skills, Play Skills and Social Skills, Attending, Functional Communication, Expressive Language, Fine Motor Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Imitation Skills, Personal Care Skills, Receptive Language, Matching/Visual Performance.

Using direct errorless teaching strategies, children are taught these essential skills. These are delivered through settings that are controlled and will aid in preparing them to transition to a classroom setting while in school.

Skill Building: The therapist works one-on-one with your child to teach specific skills like communication,
social interaction, self-care, or academic tasks using fun and engaging activities.

1

Positive Reinforcement

We use positive reinforcement to recognize and celebrate meaningful efforts and successes. By focusing on strengths and achievements, we encourage skill growth in a supportive and motivating way.

2

Data Collection

The therapist carefully tracks your child’s responses and progress during each activity to measure success and guide future sessions.

3

Behaviour Support

Our approach to behaviour support focuses on understanding the root cause, or ‘function,’ of a behaviour. We work with the care team to identify any lagging skills and teach supportive, meaningful alternatives that meet the same need.

4

Parent Collaboration

We collaborate with parents by sharing strategies, offering coaching, and providing regular updates, empowering families to confidently support their child’s growth beyond therapy.
